Finepower is researching the future of WBG technologies together with 22 European partners from science and industry as part of the \u201cYESvGaN\u201d project. The project is funded jointly by the EU and the BMBF. The long-term goal here is to meet the world’s increasing energy demand without additional power plants. The key is the development and specification of electronic components and assemblies that use a novel vertical wide band gap technology to achieve efficient and cost-effective power conversion. The target markets are in the field of electro-mobility, renewable energies, power converters, Power grids or industrial applications. The common goal of the YESvGaN project is to specify a new class of WBG semiconductors and models by 2030, which are optimized for the requirements of hard switching in three-phase topologies in order to further maximize reactive power compensation.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
